This is a superlative period portion and a quick-witted adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell’s 1865 unique of the same name. This BBC mini-series is a generous costume drama with stellar performances by the entire cast. Position in rural England, the film centers around Molly Gibson, the seventeen year old-fashioned daughter of a country doctor. Richly drawn portraits of Molly’s neighbors and friends snappily emerge and weave an intriguing tapestry of nineteenth century life.

Molly and her father, a widower for most of Molly’s life, have an exceptionally cessation and loving relationship. Their relationship is effect to the test when he decides to marry a widow and ragged governess, Hyacinth, who is a pretentious, self absorbed, ridiculous woman. She has a grown daughter named Cynthia, a ravishing young woman, stop to Molly in age, but as different from Molly as night and day. Cynthia is best described as a Marilyn Monroe of the Victorian age. Cynthia and Molly become hastily friends, while Molly barely tolerates her nigh intolerable step-mother.

The series really revolves around Molly’s relationships with all the characters in the production and her handling of the various everyday situations in which she finds herself. Richly drawn, memorable characters, as well as intrigues, secrets, and romance, construct this a highly intelligent drama and one that those who worship period pieces and lush, well acted costume dramas will bask in. It is simply a masterpiece.

With stunningly crisp visuals and ravishing clarity of sound, the production value of this three disc, five hour DVD is simply first rate. It is also value laden with some very exciting features. There is an engrossing fifty five cramped portrait of Elizabeth Gaskell, the author of the current upon which this mini-series is based. There is a also a twenty little documentary on the making of the film which is tantalizing, as it gives a bird’s look idea of the view that went into the making of the film and the development of the characters. There is also a who’s who guide to the performers. This DVD is well worth having in one’s collection.

“Wives and Daughters” is adapted from the unfinished Victorian fresh of Mrs. Elizabeth Gaskell and is produced by the same creative geniuses that gave us A&E/BBC’s 1995 “Pride and Prejudice.”

This fable centers around girl-next-door Molly Gibson (Justine Waddell of “Mansfield Park,” “Tess” and “Gigantic Expectations”) and her father, the town doctor (Bill Patterson) . Their idyllic lives are turned upside down when Mr. Gibson remarries the selfish, self-absorbed Claire Fitzpatrick (Francesca Annis) and her glorious daughter Cynthia (Keeley Hawes of “Our Mutual Friend”) join the household. The brothers Osborne (Tom Hollander) and Roger (sparkling newcomer Anthony Howell who reminds me of a young Mel Gibson) Hamley add romantic interest to the chronicle. However, the Hamleys near from former English stock and the squire Hamley (old actor Michael Gambon) desires his sons to marry into “wealthy aged English families.” Before long, Molly falls for Roger and Roger falls for Cynthia and we, the viewers, collect some surprising discoveries along the intention!!

Memorable supporting characters include the goodhearted Browning sisters, town gossip Mrs. Goodenough, mysterious Mr. Preston (Iain Glen) and the aristocratic Cumnor family. Justine Waddell is incandescent as Molly and Michael Gambon and Francesca Annis turn in memorable performances. The scenery, costumes and production values are all good. Screenwriter Andrew Davies - who also penned P&P - gives us a satisfying, romantic unique ending that would fabricate Mrs. Gaskell proud. I loved every moment of this adaptation! If you are an Anglophile, like a broad appreciate epic or are a fan of Mrs. Gaskell, this is the film for you!!!

For the most share, Atlantis is a fun, popcorn-munching movie that’s a staunch treat, and takes some refreshing steps away from Disney’s usual formula of dancing teacups and ambitious orphans. However, it is not without problems.

First off, the good: This movie is aesthetic. There seems to be an attitude with some moviegoing audiences that movies with a lot of visual effects are “impartial a bunch of CGI” or concentrated too deeply on special effects. Correct, Atlantis has plenty of computer-generated images, but they blend seamlessly with the animation and produce for a visually delicate movie. I know the words “visually comely” accept bandied about a lot, but this movie had some serious eye-candy — enough to produce me want to leer it again.

The epic, while not revolutionary (the mythical and mostly nonexistent “unusual place” is highly overrated in my book anyway), is refreshing and not painfully post-modern, as too many movies of this type seem to be. No one says “don’t go there,” or “talk to the hand,” which I fully expected to happen. There were no cute animal sidekicks, which I found almost impossible to own, especially in a Disney film. For the most fraction, this is a movie that can appeal to adults as well as kids — that is, seldom insulting the intelligence of either.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Atlantis - The Lost Empire! Click Here

There are some immense, bewitching action scenes, with hot air balloons, flying mechanical shark-ships (not as expressionless as it sounds), high-speed chases, and vast underwater monsters.

Now for the not-so-good. The movie rushes through its material so hasty it can barely accumulate out of its contain map. Characters almost dawdle over one another in their angry lunge to blurt out expository dialogue. Moments of characterization go by so snappy, you’ll miss them if you blink. Presumably, this is some sort of pandering to the Pokemon generation who can’t maintain their attention focused on anything for more than three or four seconds, but I feel this movie would have been noteworthy improved by extending it, if only by about fifteen minutes.

This mad-dash school of filmmaking applies to the middle act of the film as well. In one scene, the main character gushes over a shapely and conventional stone pillar — seconds before the demolitions expert blows it to bits. A comic moment, but Atlantis almost slides into self-parody in this regard; the whole movie spends a few short seconds establishing the pleasing setting of Atlantis, and then promptly sets off a chain of explosions or another roam scene. The biggest annoyance for me was the extraordinary, Nautilus-like submarine that gather smashed to pieces before we even win to really gaze how icy it is. Disappointing. I unprejudiced wish they could have slowed down for a couple of scenes.

I went into this movie expecting a lot less than what I got. It starts out a slight clumsily, and (as previously mentioned) whips through the exposition entirely too quick. But the chronicle is intriguing, and the finale satisfying.

The movie does beget some material that might be a shrimp strong for kids — there is a rather high body count, though all the death takes location “off-screen” — you don’t really view anyone getting killed, at least not directly. As violent verbalize goes, kids have probably seen grand worse on network TV.

Overall, I really recommend you notice this movie on the expansive veil, with the elephantine sound and portray — this is one movie that pays off well in Dolby Digital.

Overall, this is gracious fun. It’s an moving film, highly imaginative, and visually spectacular, with a account that moves very lickety-split albeit thoroughly confusingly. I happily recommend it for family viewing.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Atlantis - The Lost Empire! Click Here

Compared to unique Disney releases such as Cinderella II - Dreams Near Legal (Special Edition), 101 Dalmatians 2, and all of the other poorly done and profit-driven knockoffs, this film is an unique gem. The animation is gracious, the characters are intriguing and fun to peer, and the overall tale is compelling, as well as very fast-paced. The movie certainly is respectable for kids as young as three or four, despite some of the more esoteric, non-sensical place twists. We’ve got spectacular scenery, gadgets, battles, action, and explosions and fire, more than enough to retain the limited ones fully engaged throughout. No sex, no drugs, no profanity, and only a runt bit of blood (although the poor guys most certainly do salvage killed, neither graphically nor gloatingly) .

Most impressive in this film is the artistic vision. Atlantis provides a incredible opportunity to be creative, and the animators do not disappoint. The relatively recent (1907) setting allows some technical and scientific freedom for the animators, which was taken chunky advantage of. Everything is tremendous, massive in scale, from the steamship and its submarine, to the Leviathan guardian, to the tunnels and artifacts of Atlantis. For me, this is the most palatable allotment of the film, simply looking at the landscapes and backgrounds the animators have provided as backdrops for the action. This is respectable work, truly spectacular.

The cast is wonderfully diverse, ethnically, physically, and in terms of education, abilities, and hygiene. It’s a really truly honestly and genuinely incredible rainbow of diversity and teamwork, because, you know, it’s only when we let go of our prejudices and overlook stereotypes that we can triumph over adversity. That being said, the strangest and filthiest member of the crew is the non-stop butt of jokes, derision, and less than thoughtful treatment by the rest of the team.

There’s a minor jam, though. As dad to a six- and three-year-old, I’ve seen this film maybe 60 times in the past three months. As many times as I’ve watched it, I level-headed don’t acquire the entire view of the Atlantean power crystal, how it “chooses” a host, what the crystal-host does, what exactly becomes physically of the crystal-host, and how the chosen individual interacts with it. Definite, the impossible-to-miss end-state is a human-interfaced and -generated automatic defensive system which protects the entire city, but all of the fable elements don’t invent it sure how this all comes together. This is a bit anal, I know, but it fair doesn’t beget sense.

Violence, yeah, there’s enough of it, but precious diminutive blood, and no gore. It’s family-friendly violence, where the awful guys move neatly and completely in spectacular swirling, spiraling balls of beautifully rendered, parti-colored fire, with no suffering depicted. Early on we scrutinize an entire submarine and crew go down, and a small memorial service to commemorate the loss of 200-odd folks. There is also some top-notch explosions during the final battle, with ball-of-fire ends to both terrible guys and noteworthy fewer non-star Atlantaean valid guys. None of the poor guys design it out alive, and the two bad-guy leaders die more or less visibly, but again, without blood or gore. The one, probably most hiss instance of violence, is the bad-guy leader punching the enfeebled king of the Atlanteans in the stomach. The king later dies of his (internal) injuries, but the time-separation between the act and its results lessens the impact of the killing.

The uplifting aspects are fair as worthy, and in the demolish the focus of the narrative. We have the worship legend between the leads, as well as a totally predictable yet nonetheless great shift in alliance from the established team members to that of the Atlanteans when it comes time to do the factual thing. We gape esteem and sacrifice, traits my six-year-old picked up on with no prompting from me.

All in all, this is a very appetizing film. I dwell on the violence to stammer only, so don’t steal it to mean that the film is plump of violence; it is not. Overall, it’s about adventure, the excitement and wonder of discovery, and what can be done when you resolve the hard moral over the easy rank.

The images has not been taken in high definition. Visually, we observe like an ordinary 720p movie. It seems in some portion of the process, that they had ragged some outrageous definition equipment. The BBC Planet Earth Blu-ray is totally interesting in 1080p.

This is easily the best Africa visual bluray DVD I have in my collection so far. I bought that first LCD-Plasma DVD and was disappointed by how vanilla it was. This original LCD/Plasma Africa DVD rocks. There’s tons of camera movements and different scene locations. My fave was the sunrise and sunset across this pond in one African scene. The recent age music on this DVD is marvelous. There’s scenes I sustain replaying because the music is chilly and fits the hi def. scene. Nice bluray DVD for the sign!

It is very captivating about this season 5 Ranma 1/2. The series has been improving in legend, character designs from one season to the next season. Needless to say, the record is hilarious. The character’s action, gesture, speech are the icons of Takabashi Rumiko sen sei’s animation. From Urusei Yatsura in the 80’s to some latest works, her skills are praised and even imitated by other creators.

I composed remember when I started getting this series for the first time at first I notion it would turn out to be a dumb comedy with no likability, and how base I was as this series turned out to be truly consuming and comical to survey. The series is very light hearted as the main characters are Ranma a young teenage boy martial artist who had the miserable accident while training in China to descend into a cursed pool at jusenkyo that turns him into a girl when dosed with frigid water and can only change relieve with hot water, and Akane a young teenage girl martial artist whose father is the master and owner of a martial arts dojo and is Ranma’s betrothed fiancee which neither Akane or Ranma knew that their fathers had station up. Of course sparks skim between the two betrothed at first and not treasure sparks especially when Akane at first thinks Ranma is a girl(Seeing him in girl perform when they first meet) and than realizing what has happen to him after Ranma’s father explains about the accident. The series of course has a gaggle of other characters trying to woo Ranma and Akane to them and some of those characters have themselves been cursed by the pools of jusenkyo. The video is decent but not as racy and determined as modern animes have been but that’s a small understandable as this series started around 1989 and finished around 1996 so most of the animation won’t be as up to par as with the animes in the past ten years. The insist cast for both the subbed and dubbed are ample and memorable in their roles as they played them incredibly of course the one major change was the male stammer of Ranma was changed in season four so if you have the previous three season sets you’ll of course peruse that one disagreement but no worries as that doesn’t originate that remarkable of a dissimilarity. So if you’re tired of the dramatic and serious anime and are looking for a more light anime here’s a mammoth choice to check out for you home anime library…

Tied up for years in the John Wayne estate has been the re-release of this 1954 movie, “The High and the Great”. (which won the Academy Award for Best Song that year…witness for a plaque at Mann’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood when you visit there) .

As a child growing up in L.A. in the 50’s and 60’s, I remember the then RKO TV spot Channel 9 would reveal this movie relentlessly for years on kill. Then it all stopped. The movie vanished. And now it is being held hostage for some right reason.

It is a movie filled with surplatives though younger viewers might bag the lack of hyberbolic special effects, sexual gymnastics, de riguer corporate disembowlment themes, blah blah….too unsurvivable for a start-to-finish viewing. It is a vintage 50’s type movie…at its best.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The High and the Mighty! Click Here

This is John Wayne’s best movie, in my plan. He is superior…taking him out of the cowboy theme he ultimately became cemented into. I will always remember John Wayne in my mind as he was in this movie…especially the very last scene which alone is worth the notice of admission. Fittingly, the Orange County Airport is named after John Wayne, who had a career early on of appearing in films with aviation themes.

Ernest K. Gann, who penned the account, was an American Airlines pilot who churned out aviation current, one after another. His equally well-known current that was made into an helpful movie, was “Fate is the Hunter”. Both of these movies deal with an aircraft incident/accident. “The High and the Powerful” concentrates on the human dynamics of a flight crew and their maintenance tainted trying to cope with a mechanical plight en route over the longest single over-the-ocean route in the world: Honolulu to San Francisco. It is as dramatic and technically legal as you could possibly accept. In fact, “The High and the Remarkable” had all the elements of the novel Jan. 31, 2000 Alaska Airlines wreck northwest of Los Angeles.

“Fate is the Hunter” meticulously examines the post accident phase of aircraft wreck investigation. It is almost like a Hitchock movie in terms of suspense. I don’t contemplate this movie is available either and that is a shame since there is so remarkable junk out there that is. Glenn Ford is the star of this movie.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The High and the Mighty! Click Here

The inviting conclusion of “The High and the Great” stays with you forever…distinguished like the ending of the movie “The Spirit of St. Louis” which starred James Stewart (also a big movie and is available) .

“The High and the Powerful” is a factual aviator’s movie…it has the feel and touch of a venerable pilot at the yoke, Ernest K. Gann. All of us down on the ground here can only hope and pray that the powers to be let this titanic, mountainous American film out of the hanger and let her skim again….soon.

I originally viewed this film at it’s debut in 1954. The memories are as seen from a 10 year passe boy’s eyes. I was overwhelemed by the color, the sound, and John Wayne. His character of Dan the co-pilot was expedient. Even than I could peep he was the star. That was my first John Wayne movie. I was zigzag. I lived in a great city, and I had never taken a flight anywhere. I became cosumed by airplanes. The different people, and how they were all connected to John’s character.

The most dramatic parts were, unprejudiced as they past the point of no return, and the problems that ensuded. I was on the raze of my seat for the rest of the movie. One section was very famous to me.When John smacks Robert Stack around to shake him up, ” Wing the airplane” then he was ok. At the extinguish after they have gone through the fire, engines falling off, and all their problems, they finally land. They are meet by the state manager. He looks at the aircraft, looks at John Wayne, and says, “You stale pelican” John impartial walks away. The Slay. It took me many years to understand what the meaning was. The pelican is the best flying bird in the bird world. The theme music won an academy award.

I was so moved I knew I wanted to be a pilot. I presued it throughout my life. The US Air Force, and Pan American Airways. I was very lucky to have acheived my dream. I am retired from flying now. It would give me gerat pleasure to examine this movie with my childern.

If you luxuriate in offbeat films like Russ Meyer’s “Faster Pussycat, Slay! End!” or “Beyond the Valley of the Dolls”, or early John Waters features like “Female Anguish” or “Pink Flamingos”, brace yourself for “FUEGO”, an fabulous part of gradual 60s sex-melodrama from Argentina. Selling point: The film was so sultry and bodacious (by 1960s standards) that it was actually BANNED in its country of origin!!! Voluptuous ISABEL SARLI deserves high marks for her passionately eager portrayal of a tormented nymphomaniac whose insatiable lusts push her toward oblivion. The memorable, over-the-top theme song is so relentlessly aggressive it will haunt you forever. Everything about “FUEGO” is beyond understanding and stupefying — you will wonder how it ever got made in the first set! It would be a crime for me to go into any more detail — you simply MUST stare “FUEGO” for yourself and revel in its gaudy delirium! It is so “poor” that, honestly, it really deserves 5 stars (in the Terrible Is Trustworthy category), but I’m only giving this double feature DVD 4 stars. This is partly because the master for “FUEGO” appears to suffer from dirt scratches and some jump-cuts (granted, this probably can’t be helped with an obscure film like this — alternate prints and negatives are likely nonexistant) ; let me say, however, the color is sumptuous and the print eminently watchable (yes, the scratches do sort of add a level of charm…) . The art-housey black-and-white companion feature, “THE FEMALE” (also starring ISABEL SARLI) is a bit of a let down after all the bravado stirred up in “FUEGO”. However, “FUEGO” on its enjoy is worth the trace of this DVD, so don’t hesitate to order! This is the kind of “poor cinema” that’s gigantic to seek with a group of friends and only gets better with repeated viewing. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anything quite like “FUEGO” — it sets unique standards for outrageousness and will certainly support you laughing for a long time.

The character that Isabel Sarli plays in this movie is exactly the type of woman MEN would be if THEY were women. Men fashion themselves as “insatible” and always ready for sex, can you imagine US as women?

Buy,Download, Or Stream Fuego / The Female aka Seventy Times Seven! Click Here

“Laura” (Sarli) is a known nymphomaniac who is tortured by a morbid physical desire for sex. Like Suzanne Pleshette in “A Rage To Live,” marriage is not the retort. Like a hungry vampire, she roams the streets flashing her immense bare breasts at exclusive men, even engrossing in sex with some of them.

She’s also fervent in a lusty “affair” with her lesbian maid when men are not available to her. Her virile, loving husband (Antonio Bo) is not enough for her, she is immediately in “heat” moral after every sex act.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Fuego / The Female aka Seventy Times Seven! Click Here

Her “condition” torments her and she feels doomed. When her husband catches her in bed with another man, he goes wild and she begs him to destroy her (to set her out of her misery) . During a therapeudic diagnosis by a “sex specialist,” Laura reaches a shattering orgasm during the examination.

The movie is certainly titilating, most movies about nymphos usually are (that’s why they invent them) . Fun to glimpse with other men, for women will probably Detest this film because they disapprove over-sexed women like this, for they KNOW that their husbands will probably be alive to in a woman like Isabel Sarli.

Don’t net me obnoxious, this is not hardcore porno, it’s a dependable movie filmed in South America and Unique York, but it’s bordering on the X-rated.

When an artist releases a video entitled, “The Videos”, one would quiz it to be a collection of videos. Instead, “Britney: The Videos” is a collection of three videos - “Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know”, “I’m A Slave 4 U”, and “I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman.” There are no other videos, unless you count “Overprotected” - outtakes of the movie area to the song. The DVD also includes a Pepsi commercial, an HBO commercial, and a performance from the 2001 VMAs. If you wanted a collection of Britney videos, ala “Dave Matthews Band: The Videos 1994-2001″, you’re out of luck (as I was) . To net copies of the other videos you’ll have to retract Britney’s other two DVDs, but you peaceful won’t collect the videos for “From the Bottom of My Broken Heart” and “Born To Get You Blissful”, which I was really looking forward to having. If you simply want to remove anything with Britney’s name on it, I say knock yourself out. However, if you’re looking for the real DVD that the name implies, I’d recommend waiting. In the meantime, her HBO special is coming out on DVD in January and would be a distinguished better engage if you don’t feel like buying a bunch of DVDs.

“Britney: The Videos” is trustworthy, but there was so remarkable that could have been added to create it better. They included the VMA 2001 performance which was honest incredible, but I really mediate they should have added the noted 2000 VMA performance as well. There are only four videos here. Two from the current album “Britney” (by the blueprint, the “Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman” video included on here is different than the one seen on MTV) and Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know from her second album Oops!…I Did It Again. The unhurried the scenes is nothing really special. The one with the photo shoot is Britney impartial dancing to “Anticipating.” Of course any fan will be delighted to contain this, but it was rushed and there should have been more interviews, etc. If you’re a Britney fan, rep it, but if you’re expecting a lot from this DVD, don’t collect it.

It must be admitted that the fifth season of “Monk” had some rough patches, where Monk’s OCD was overwritten and the plots got a bit limp.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Monk - Season Six! Click Here

But the obsessive compulsive detective is detached going, and fortunately “Monk” is aloof one of the best shows on television. And the sixth season continues “Monk’s” spacious tradition — solidly-written mystifying stories, quirky detecting, and some pleasurable acting from Tony Shalhoub. Even better, the two-part finale really shows “Monk” off at its absolute best.

As the season opens, Monk (Tony Shalhoub) finds that his obsessed groupie Marcy Maven (Sarah Silverman) needs to hire him, despite a restraining order. So she “buys” him at a bachelor auction and makes him work on a bizarre case — her dog is being accused of killing someone, but the dog died before the destroy took state. Needless to say, there’s more than meets the spy.

Among the other cases the OCD detective has to deal with: a framed rapper, assassinate on a nudist beach, an investigation overlapping with Julie’s admire life, stolen safety-deposit boxes, worship maps, a daredevil who might be his archnemesis, insomnia, going undercover in a cult, a newfound painting hobby, and a shot Santa. He even has to investigate Stottlemeyer’s (Ted Levine) girlfriend.

But the tale takes a darker turn toward the raze of the season. Monk finds a lead for the “six-fingered man” who killed Trudy, and confronts him… and after a struggle, the six-fingered man is lifeless. A rural sheriff arrests Monk, but Monk insists that he’s innocent — and he’s certain to accept out who is framing him. But with the police after him and a conspiracy in motion, can he solve the assassinate before he’s caught?

“Monk” had a bit of a rough patch in the fifth season — some of the episodes simply didn’t gel, and Monk’s OCD was written strangely. Fortunately “Monk - Season Six” goes encourage to what makes the series more delicious — a couple of episodes don’t work, like the rapper and the creepy miniature cult, but these are overshadowed by the better mysteries.

Nope, most of the sixth season is a string of solid abolish mysteries — lots of baffling crimes, obscure clues, and modern eccentricities for Monk. Despite all the cancel and bittersweet moments, the episodes are peppered with some comedy as well, such as the dead demolition of Stottlemeyer’s brand-new car. And there’s composed plenty of bittersweet (”I’m going to be buried next to Trudy. I can’t wait”) and/or hilarious dialogue (”She had the oldest profession.” “Stonemason, huh? “) .

And the last two episodes of the sixth season are among the best the series has ever produced. A seemingly straightforward crime sage blossoms into a heartrending, suspenseful, dramatic, and genuinely unpredictable fable, and gives us a few more clues about Trudy’s death.

Tony Shalhoub is lovably oddballish as Adrian Monk, never turning his tragicomic character into a cartoon — you impartial want to hug Monk and give him some perfectly symmetrical cookies. Traylor Howard does a solid job as Monk’s assistant, and Levine gets to note Stottlemeyer’s warmer, laid-back sides, while Jason Gray-Stanford is consistently fun as the puppy-eager Randy Disher — even getting to voice a Johnny-Cash-style song about Monk’s apparent demise.

The sixth season of “Monk” has a couple rough patches, but soars up to gleaming heights advance the raze. And the obsessive-compulsive detective smooth seems to have quite a bit of work ahead…

This review is dedicated in the memory of Stanley Kamel who played Dr. Charles Kroger in the first 6 seasons of Monk. Stanley Kamel sadly passed away in April of 2008. He was a deeply talented character actor and he will be missed on Monk.

In general as a explain goes on it doesn’t salvage better, but there are exceptions; some shows like The Shield seem to find better each season and Monk while maybe not getting better is collected impartial as worthy now as it ever was. After the first half of season 3 ended Sharona was out as Monk’s assistant and Traylor Howard as Natalie was in. I notion that gave Monk a powerful needed jolt and helped maintain things novel. In many ways it was like starting over again.

A lot of critics felt season 3 was a letdown, I disagree; the 2nd half of Season 3 are in my thought some of the best episodes of the series. After that the 4th and 5th seasons while very agreeable and had some of my current episodes of the series also featured some of the weaker ones as well, but I peaceful liked both those seasons as a whole more than the first and 2nd. Season 4 & 5 are top-notch they honest lacked slightly despite being every bit as qualified as the previous seasons. The best procedure to place it I deliver is Seasons 4 & 5 had some of the best episodes, and a few that were top-notch that fair fell slightly short of greatness and a few sub-par episodes. But again I loved both those seasons and liked them more than the first 2 Seasons, which were also large.

But Season 6 of Monk really gets things relieve on track and features some of the very best episodes of the series. Each season of Monk has that one or 2 episodes that are sort of duds. Even a extinct episode of Monk unruffled has laughable moments, and while there are a couple of episodes that tumble short as a whole though Season 6 is as edifying as any of the previous 5, which is rare that a series this slack into the game can aloof remain honest as superb.

The belief mild works well, which is a credit to not only the writers, but more so to the actors who engage this material that we’ve seen done many times over and acquire it unbiased as silly now as when the explain first started. Ted Levine is titanic as Captain Leland Stottlemeyer, he’s one of the few that actually understands Monk and any scene he has with Jason Gray-Stanford as Lt. Randy Disher is priceless Levine and Stanford work so incredible together and with that said Jason Gray-Stanford often steals the explain with his performance. Randy can be kind of slow a lot of the times, but he’s so damn comical. In many ways Jason Gray-Stanford steals the reveal every episode he never fails to accomplish me laugh.

The mountainous debate among Monk fans who is the better assistant Sharona who was played by Bitty Schram or Natalie Teeger played by Traylor Howard; for me it’s no contest as considerable as I liked Sharona I personally pick up Natalie by far the more intelligent character and quite honestly I win the Natalie seasons over the Sharona seasons. Emmy Clarke plays Natalie’s teenage daughter Julie Teeger and she’s a very talented young actress who has a shining future ahead of her. The leisurely spacious Stanley Kamel as Dr. Kroger is always a pleasure to gawk.

But of course above all Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk is the show; in my plan Tony Shalhoub is without a doubt the best comedic actor on TV and in Hollywood in general. While Monk is a very droll present sometimes people forget how tragic the explain is. Monk always had OCD, but it wasn’t too unpleasant until the death of his wife. In the comedy there is also a lot of tragedy and Shalhoub is simply lustrous.

Monk Season 6 was overall a large season with some of the very best episodes of the series. As I stated earlier I loved the 4th and 5th Seasons and overall assume them over the first 2, but there were some flaws with some episodes that didn’t quite work, but the 6th Season really delivers tremendous time. Maybe not the best Season of Monk, but it’s elegant stop to it.

MR. MONK AND HIS BIGGEST FAN- *****

One of the best episodes of the series Sarah Silverman guest stars as Marcie Maven (last seen during season 2) is obsessed with Monk and she gets his support when a neighbor is found murdered and the evidence points to her dog. But her dog was place down 3 days before the cancel. It seems the dog was framed, which yes sounds really droll, but this episode was simply hysterical. It’s no secret who the killer is; figuring out how is a bit tougher.

MR. MONK AND THE RAPPER- ****

Clichéd episode, but really funny; Snoop Dog guest stars as a rapper under a assassinate investigation. Seeing Mr. Monk in the Hip-Hop culture was hysterical. Yeah it’s a clichéd thought, but it’s damn droll.

MR. MONK AND THE NAKED MAN- ***

Each season of Monk seems to have that one dud and this is one of them; after a lifeless body is found a nude beach Monk is brought in to succor with the case. Monk and nudists are amble for some laughs, but overall the episode falls flat and the comedy was a bit too over the top. Not all is lost there’s actually a decent twist on who the killer is and some comic moments.

MR. MONK AND THE Poor GIRLFRIEND- **** ½

Excellent episode with plenty of laughs; the killer is definite, but trying to figure out how they did it was the best piece. This is something lacking from Monk the past couple of years. The ending is a bit tragic, but immense episode.

MR. MONK AND THE BIRDS AND THE BEES- ***

This episode was weak; we know who the killer is and how they did it; therefore it’s not as fun. There are some superior moments, but overall it objective doesn’t fully work; in my concept this was the weakest of the season; not terrible or anything, but doesn’t quite work.

MR. MONK AND THE BURIED TREASURE- *****

Classic episode of Monk; this one has Dr. Kroger’s son seeking Monk’s relieve finding what he thinks is a buried fancy, only he doesn’t narrate Monk what he’s in search for he tells him it’s a school project. I wasn’t expecting grand, but it turned out to be one of my accepted episodes. The final act with Monk and Kroger’s son trapped in a car buried in gravel was hysterical.

MR. MONK AND THE DAREDEVIL- *** ½

Good episode that features Monk’s arch rival Harold Krenshaw played by Tim Bagley; both Monk and Harold want to be the center of Dr. Kroger’s attention and this episode has the two at it again. Not the best episode of the season, but with Monk and Harold laughs are pace to happen.

MR. MONK AND THE Gross MAN- ****

Solid episode that has a man Monk locked away for a double kill is now cleared due to DNA; but is this guy really innocent? Laughable episode like the previous not one of the best, but very scrumptious without a monotonous moment.

MR. MONK IS UP ALL NIGHT- **** ½

Starts off humdrum, but once it gets going it gets really good; this one is very remarkable a mystery and figuring out what happened is a lot of fun. Besides the mystery there are also a lot of amusing moments.

MR. MONK AND THE MAN WHO SHOT SANTA CLAUS- *****

Classic episode of Monk; This is the 3rd Christmas episode of the series and it’s probably the best one and one of my popular episodes of the series; From beginning to demolish this one is a blast. Seeing Monk and Santa Claus fighting each other was objective too comical.

MR. MONK JOINS A CULT- *** ½- Gracious episode with some silly moments, but as a whole it slightly lacks; Unexcited worth watching though.

MR. MONK GOES TO THE BANK- ****- Classic Monk; this is one of the best episodes of the series with a solid twist at the end; the final few minutes are hysterical; Randy Disher steals the demonstrate in this one.

MR. MONK AND THE THREE JULIES- *****- Possibly the best episode of the season and one of the best of the series; this one has a killer on the loose murdering women with the name Julie Teeger, which of course is the name of Natalie’s teenage daughter. The legend is reliable with tall mystery and an genuine twist and it’s one of the funniest Monk episodes.

MR. MONK PAINTS HIS MASTERPIECE- ****- Another episode I wasn’t expecting too distinguished out of, but it turned out excellent; while not the strongest episode of the season it’s a lot of fun. Sadly this is the last episode that Stanley Kamel appeared on due to his death.

MR. MONK IS ON THE Bustle Section I- *****- The stout thing about Monk is you can dazzling mighty stare any episode of any season and delight in it and not be lost. But they do have one running yarn arc on this show; the assassinate of Monk’s wife Trudy; and apt here is one of the Trudy episodes. This one has Monk the roam of who killed his wife, but before he can glean answers the man is killed and Monk is the suspect. Obviously we know Monk is innocent even though it looks as if he did pull the trigger. This episode is one of the best of the series; it’s comical and dramatic with an expedient twist and an ending that will have you begging for more.

MR. MONK IS ON THE Urge Fragment II- *****- Astronomical season finale; it’s amusing, dramatic and suspenseful. After this episode Monk gets one step closer to solving the assassinate of his wife. The season started off large and ended immense.

I had really waited for a movie on the grand “Adam Clayton Powell” for years. When most politicians die there is a movie out on them upright away….Not Powell, I had to wait for this one and it was worth waiting for. I followed the politics of Mr. Powel when I was quite young and was always impressed with his brillance and nerve to always grunt out on things that lots of others were alarmed to impart out on. I really enjoyed this movie and found the cast quite well assigned. If you have an historical portion as a fraction of your collection, this is a must have. You won’t collect a whole lot of his actions and promotions in your average american history book. You’ll need to build roles played by our folk in your occupy History Book. This is one of the chapters.

This is a grand section of history I savor this movie.
